Efe, or the London Marvel as the press had named her, had no time for the thanks and adulation. Although she could fly, move faster than the speed of sound, alongside her other powers, she also had a day job. She had heard the children screaming from help from the other side of London right at the beginning of her lunch break. Removing the debris of the collapsed building and rescuing them from the basement had taken a while. Now she had to get back to the office, with minutes to spare before she was due to give a presentation to the CEO. She smiled at the children through her mask one last time, and then flew off into the sky. It certainly was not a bad way to spend a lunch break.
