We celebrate the sun,
By taunting it with its arch-nemesis,
Cold treats,
In our hands,
On our tongues,
And yet we do not want war with the sun,
We long for its warm embrace.
Does the sun look down on us,
And wonder why we shy away
From the fullness
Of its burning love?
