Perchance to Dream

I lay awake at night,

Unintentionally alert,

Night after night,

And all nights melt into one.

I fear I may have chased sleep away,

With my busy doings,

And my many thinkings.

I pray for the miracle of slumber,

For the sleep of life,

And perchance to dream.
