This Red Rain

This red rain falls,
And we endure,
We keep in line,
We bear the burdens,
Amidst destruction,
Amidst despair.

This red rain falls,
And we are left,
We stand here drenched,
We stand here stained,
We clean our hands,
But what of our minds?

This red rain falls,
And we contemplate,
There is fire in our hearts,
And perhaps we might,
Ignite the sky,
And set fire to the rain.
